Pleasantly surprised by this restaurant, wonderful food. We went as a big party of 10 (including 2 kids) and tried several dishes, but a few stood out:
1) Fine de Claire oysters - they don’t get any fresher than this. Freshly-shucked, with plenty of natural brine and bright flavours.
2) Onion soup and lobster bisque were both great. I haven’t had lobster bisque with such deep flavours for the longest time.
3) Bouillabaisse - heavenly with the bread. The prawn was grilled prior to adding in, which was a nice touch.
They have a formidable wine list as well.
Service was attentive, and the place filled up quickly in the evening. Would recommend making a reservation!
It’s my find for 2023! Hard to believe they have been around since 2011 and my circle of foodies have not tried this joint until I did.
And I fully recommend it!
Food is super! Authentic French and impressive collection of wine! Go for the lunch and dinner sets which offer fantastic value!
Would have given service and atmosphere full 5 stars but the joint is clearly understaffed although the crew can be seen doing their best! Place is a wee bit too noisy for me too.
But I definitely will return!
Highly recommended by my colleague and I like the food as well. However, the onion soup can be improved (my colleagues said too much pepper). The duck confit was nice. The noodle was delicious. I think first time I tried goose liver (Foie gras), not bad. Given 4 stars for service because they forgotten one of our dishes.
Had the set lunch on new year's eve. Very happy with the bread and salted butter. (They nicely accommodated our request for a second serving of bread and butter) 👍🏻 The burrata tomato salad was delicious. Duck confit was crispy and loved the generous proportion of mashed potatoes and sauce. Creme brulee was also creamy and rich. Service and ambience was great too. We left the restaurant a bit late but they didn't hurry us.
We came here to celebrate my husband's birthday. Ordered 4 dinner sets and some Ala-carte items. We all agreed that their oysters were really good, and other items were great as well. I had the duck confit several years ago but today's one did not seem to be as good as previously.
I had set dinner with baked Escargot in butter and parsley as entrée (🐌 it has texture like calamari, and its good), Steak au Poivre (medium rare, really good) and Chocolate mousse.
The wine list is lengthy, with prices ranging from $76 to $654. The wine list is not very useful for people who are unfamiliar with French wine, and the team does not include a sommelier.
It's a good place for family and friends gathering.
Family dinner on a Saturday. Generally food was good. We ordered the French oyster, foie gras, shrimp pasta, onion soup, seafood stew, cod fish, striplon steak and pork rack. The French oyster was not recommended.
Table of 4 and ordered quite spread. The only thing negative was the Oysters were less plump and juicy compared to Japanese Oysters.
